Inside each were a 3.5mm adapter and 2 AAA batteries. We then took a look at all of the differences between the Sordin Supreme Pro-X to the Pro-X LED model. The first thing we noticed was that the Pro-x LED models come with gel cups on the headset. This is awesome because it adds a lot more comfort to the headset and works a lot better when you go shooting and have to use eye protection. They both have the same 3.5mm jack and side headset controls. The only other difference noticed was the difference in the headbands. The Supreme Pro-X has a leather strap where our Pro-X LED model included a padded strap cover. The padded strap cover is removable and can be upgraded to different designs. Both headsets use two front-facing microphones in order to achieve multidirectional sound amplification. These are absolutely amazing as the sound is so crystal clear and well balanced that you don't even notice you have on hearing protection at all. A dog barking behind you or footsteps off to your right is incredibly easy to hear and pinpoint their location. They also both offer 6 levels of sound amplification that can be changed with the side controls on the headset. This allows you to hear even the faintest sound near you and know exactly where it's coming from. In a bump in the night scenario, these are amazing to be able to pick up exactly what is going on. Anyone without these would be at a huge tactical disadvantage. The last difference comes with the LED on the Sordin Supreme Pro-X LED model. You can just press the minus and plus buttons together and it then turns on the LED with a small chime. This is nice because you have a very soft light. You could very easily and discreetly use this light if you were in a survival and escape scenario or if you equally just need to read a sign in a dark corridor. Next, we tested out the sound quality and found the quality of both headsets to be equally superb. Whichever version you get, you'll get some ridiculous sound quality. Then, we tested out the sound amplification and found those higher tiers of amplification to be insanely useful for hearing things the normal ear just can't pick up. Finally, we took a look at some radio and comms setups you can do thanks to our friends at Comm Gear supply. We wanted to use a simple Baofeng to show how easy it is to connect your headset into even the most basic radio out there. The mic kit runs from a 2 prong adapter into the Baofeng out to a QD. The QD allows us to use the same comms setup as along as any radio we change out to has the appropriate QD connector. The mic kit from the QD then includes a microphone that I routed over my shoulder along with a 2 pin connector. I then took the 2 pin and connected it into a 3.5mm adapter. Now, I had a radio setup that can have amazing multidirectional sound amplification, hearing protection, and full radio comms. This is an absolutely killer setup! The shadows come in a small carrying case that includes a charging case for the shadows along with a USB cable and various size ear inserts. The e-max shadows are operated by using a side capacitive touch area along the earpiece for all of the various functions. Here you can pause music, raise and lower volume, answer calls, and pair your device with your phone. You can also hold down this area to swap between active and passive hearing modes. The Active hearing mode lowers the bluetooth volume to a conversational tone while then piping in all of of the outside sounds from the area around you. This allows you to have easy conversations even in extremely loud areas. The Peltor Sport Tactical 300s are some of my absolute favorite hearing protection and they pack a huge punch in such a small package. The headset uses a standard headband style that can be easily upgraded with options from Grim Hunter Tactical Gear. The 300s also have two recessed forward-facing microphones, one on each ear cup. The power button is located on the rear of the right ear cup along with the volume controls. The volume controls are large and tactile, allowing you to easily manipulate them with a gloved hand. Also included on the 300 is a USB charging port if you use rechargeable batteries and a 3.5mm jack to hook in some radio connections from Comm Gear supply to give you a functional radio and microphone PTT while using only a basic range headset. The peltor sport 300s also rock some of the absolute best sound quality (even if I didn't capture it well on camera) in its price bracket. You have to spend tons more to get comparable sound reproduction. As recommended in the video, gettin the noisefighter gel cups is a huge huge huge improvement for these headsets. With our final headset in this video, we have our Sordin Supreme Pro-X LEDS. The sordins come with a variaty of options but the LEDS include a headband wrap and gel cups standard. The pro-x LEDs also use a standard profile so the headband can be easily upgraded to a style from Grim Hunter Tactical also. The Sordins also use two AA batteries but are inserted horizontally so they lay on top of easy other. This gives the headset a smaller overall profile which is quite noticeable when compared to the Peltor 300s. To operate the sordins, all of the controls are located on the left ear cup. The middle button turns the device on and off and the corresponding plus and minus buttons to either side raise and lower the volume. We see the same 3.5mm jack we can use to connect in a PTT from Comm gear supply to make a super robust tactical setup with comm capabilities. The sound reproduction of the Sordin Supreme Pro-X is phenomenal and one of the most amazing traits is that you can increase the volume over ambient.
